The sky had a mist settling over the frozen lake. Jay and Raia had been signaled to start their class and had untacked their tokotas. The bell rang and off they went. Raia laughed as her yeti boy, Drefan dove into the icey waters. He looked so out of place next to Jay's curlies who dove in quickly after him. Once resurfacing, only Ikiaq and Asia had successful caught fish. Drefan grumpily dove back in to try his luck again. Sadly the two curlies surfaced again with another catch. Ikiaq, being the friendly helpful tokota that he is, threw one of his fish into Drefan's catch pile. Once Drefan resurfaced once more, he has successfully caught a fish, but the tiny char did not campare to Asia or Ikiaq's salmon and pike.
"Come on Drefan! You can catch bigger fish than that!" Raia cheered her tokota on from the sidelines. Once again, Drefan was only successful in catching another char, though bigger than the last. Asia was the more competitive one and her catch pile was growing quickly. Ikiaq was more in it for the fun and jut enjoyed chasing the fish around under the ice. Drefan shook his long coat and right before diving in, saw one of Ikiaq's pike flopping around on the ice. He quickly pounced on it and brought it back to him catch pile. None of the judges saw and the class was nearly over. All three had seemingly caught a good amount of fish...Seemingly.
