i really admire the first panel, it gives the trumpeteer a great sense empathy, the use of the rule of nines with him waiting for the bus really pull you into the whole scene.

I love this. The character just seems so noble to me, in some strange way. And your sense of color is amazing: I'm definitely fave-ing this series. Will there be more? Fantastic!

it may not be your typical butt-kicking, scantally clad women, ripping muscle, "pow" comics or the dark trench coat, cigarette smoking, lets use a lot of shiny weird looking modernized weapons, and high tech guns kind of comic but society is changing and beginning to be more open different methods of story telling, and is certainly open to mixing medium of presenting a story.
plus, your comic is definately break from what is currently being so outdone these days. its time to invite some mystery and less violence in our comics. anyway you need to ask yourself: how could anyone not want to publish this? is an amazing work of art, the familiar landmarks, facial expressions it makes it intriguing. Le intrigue, thats the french word for plot, hence i think intrigue is vital in one. i don't know about you, but thats what i look for in my comics, some realism, something emotionally complex, that is what ultimate makes a critically acclaimed comic.
i dunno maybe the publishers find it too movie like, i guess they see it as presenting some sort of storyboard but HULLLLO... just go look at my first comment

Jesus. This is... just... damn, I can't even find the words. It's masterful, that's what it is. The best description I can think of for this series is it is Jazz. Fave and Devwatch, without a doubt.

The coloring job is exquisite. Really sets a cool mood to it. I really dig this, and i'd like to read more of the comic.

BOOO i like this. also, "mainstream" as superhero comics aren't really mainstream anymore are they? You could self publish (that seems to be what comic people are suggesting, though I dont know if anyone would have the cash) Or try some non mainstream publishers. Oni Press might like that. ^_^ i hope you get published!
