Hello all! I'm the last of the new admins, and I don't think that I've submitted anything to this group that hasn't contained a reptile in it.

In honor of this awesome autumn month we have an autumn-y color scheme. White is also available should you wish to use it.

Black is FORBIDDEN! Why? Well, the theme this October is going to be about creating something that represents 'dark monster' (yay All Hallows' Eve!), and it would be too easy to slap down some black, and make a couple of freaky eyes, and have done with it. Play with these colors! Have fun with autumn brightness to add contrast! Pull the darkness out of that yellow!

Tips, hints, and cool things you can do in Photoshop (sorry, I'm not familiar with SAI or Corel Draw or any other program, really):

- Use the burn and dodge tools (this can create some duller, flatter colors).
- Play with your brush mode! You can really pull some interesting shades out when you do this.
- Muck around with the opacity while blending different colors

- All submissions are due before midnight GMT on the 30th of October, and voting will go from then until the 6th of November.

- Creating a new piece of artwork is encouraged.

- Please reply here with a link to your finished entry, and don't forget to submit to the featured section of the #Colour-Schemes gallery so everyone can see and so it's officially entered in the challenge! We will move the challenges to the appropriate folder ourselves.
