Budew's honestly my second favorite bab in Pokemon behind Smoochum. They're just really adorable and simplistic. Plus the rest of the line's really good, so there's more incentive to use it.

One time I attempted a Roserade solo run on Platinum, which of course meant I had to start with Budew cause I couldn't catch Roselia until a lot later. Unfortunately, since Budew evolves with happiness, I wasn't able to evolve it before having to fight Mars and effectively hit a brick wall because no amount of luck would let me get past both a wall as effective as Zubat and THEN a powerhouse like Purugly, and there was no easy way for me to grind happiness at that point.
