A piece from a storybook my Girlfriend and I are working on called Morty The Ferocious Beast.Morty lives in the woods and rules over no one, so one day he ventures into the nearby town to find subjects to command. He is not taken seriously and is eventually thrown in a toy bin at a local thrift shop, where after failing to convert the stuffed animals to his rule, he is purchased by a young boy and brought home.

So from the short summary of the story you intend to tell, i think you've done a good job capturing the tone through style. Its something i rarely see, as i feel sad everytime i find a good story belittled by an inappropriate style of illustration, and even worse when i see great illustration forced to tell a half assed story. So yeah, good marriage of the two so far. kudos.

I am totally in love with Morty and wish to take him home as well. Or... spring him from the kid's house and become his Acorn loveing - Penguin of Doom servant. XD

It's a shame that this piece hasn't gotten more attention, it sound like an adoreable story.

I like the idea, and it's a very cute character.
Especially this one when he's drawing with crayons on the wall like a little kid, it's really touching and many can relate to it
