Description
30" x 24" oil on canvas
Walking through the forest during a May rain shower, the cascading sound of water echo’s deep into the roots of all things. I wanted to capture the feeling of being on the forest path, looking off into the woods and wondering “ what is That!” All the flowers and plants that grabbed my attention during this May spring hike are arranged in the painting. Jack in the Pulpit, Thimble weed, Golden Fairy Helmet (mushroom), Liver leaf, Two leaf Mitterwort, Columbine, False Solomon Seal, Trillium, Viola, Bluets, Choke Cherry, Garlic Mustard, Lilly of the Valley, Canadian Mayflower, Foam Flower, and Venus Maidenhair Fern.
