Description the words at the bottom of the photograph are an excrept from a tribe that used to inhabit california. It was taken from one of the yokut legends [link]


the translation is roughly as follows: Supernatural-ones- arrived, cut, ate, belly filled, defecated... Though my thoughts are out of context with their legend, i believe that this translation sums up what we did... and it is fitting to the mood of this landscape.

Aw yeah. I posted this photo in a brief moment of anger that was a result from a housing development approval on the east side of the hill... could have worded it a little better. I'll have to fix that.

Hopefully that project will be nixed.

thank you... yeah, i just had to listen to some rancher yak about his god given right to do what he wants to his land... kinda made me a little angry that he was wanting to destroy a petroglyph wall so could sell boulders to a developer... grrrrr!!!!! --- heh, he lost anyways

thank you so much dear... i have been a little frustrated with peoples attitudes lately towards all things that don't include themselves and that green paper stuff... figured i'd vent a small portion of my thoughts. makes me feel so much better that there are still people out there like yourself that can see past green....

f'n greed... the one thing that sucks about my job is that i see what money is doing to everything that is truly beatiful... i feel like all i do sometimes is write an obituary for a beautiful place that is going to be plowed over for new subdivisions... grrrrr...

i am a biologist... i do environmental consulting as well as research and gov work for the forest. The consulting bit can be very depressing
