When: July 13, 2019
Where: Kölner Zoo Köln/Cologne, Germany
An Otter pup was born at the zoo, but sadly didn't make it. We didn't know until we were there; we heard some zoo keepers discussing it.
It did explain this adult's behavior, being very eager for food and letting everyone know it was about time.
Species: European Otter (Europese visotter)
Latin name: Lutra Lutra
Originates from Europe and Asia.
Current status: Near Threatened
