Description What's better than a flirty silhouette?

materials: The silhouette is cut from Strathmore paper and the handkerchief is cut from Pasticcio print paper.

The silhouette is based on an Ann Field watercolor for Barbara Barry for Wedgewood advertisement.

You know she is dropping that handkerchief for come gentleman to pick up for her.

I really like the proportions of this piece. The black and white are nicely balanced and the handkerchief is a nice pop of color.

Of course - why else hold a handkerchief?

And thanks for noticing the proportions - it's one of the things I really like about this piece.

This was extremely fun to make. I had a tough time choosing what to put in her hand. First it was a bird, next it was a cigarello with metalllic gold swirls of smoke and then finally I decided upon the handkerchief for the color and 3-dimension aspect.
