Well well! Finally got around to polishing off some 40k fanart
Felt like it for ages now, so there you go.
Was intending just to be a rough sort of drawing, ended up going pretty all-out on it. About 5 hours, in PS.

(and he's from a splinter chapter that's (somehow) mixed Dark Angels and Blood Angels, in case you're going to ask, which is what my space marine army's painted as)

Good God. You did something like this in 5 hours? You have got the "gothic super-science horror military" feel of 40k *down*. If you can pull off something like this consistently you might consider going to games-workshop for to some art for their books. You'd have that job in the bag.

although i REALLY like the big armor upon closer inspection i dont see how he can aim that thing like that with the big shoulder guards in the way of his line of sight.

this is one of the most badass 40k art ive seen and Ive seen a lot, I really like your scale, too much art and fiction depict the space marines like tall dudes in power armor instead of giant 8-9ft giant war gods, looking at this you can believe that this dude will fuck shit up on the battlefield and go through a whole mess of orks and heretics by himself. theres a lot of little details that i dig like the long purity seals and the storm bolter being chain fed. Is that a warp crown? ne ways, I would really like to see moar 40k space marine art from you since your so good at it and i dont know if you work for blizzard or not but warhammer 40k beats starcraft's ass so bad. the only great things about starcraft is that it copies the hell out of 40k and i dont know how GW lets them get away with it. PS: i think i like your style better than Paul Dainton's stuff, would be neat to see a bunch of your guys depicted like how he does those epic battle scenes. would like to see how you tackle termie armor and dreads.

no problem man, i love WAR40k but when i draw it, my paper is to small and i usualy mess up the bulkyness that Space marines are suppost to have.
