Here we go!ΒNext up in the series of paintovers for Heroes of the Storm , a move away from the more recently familiar Blizz IPs to something a bit more nostalgic! Also the newest Heroes to join the Storm (as of writing), the Lost Vikings have found their way into the Nexus with today's patch.

they looked almost 3d to me at first glance. then the dwarf's beard in the middle made it almost look like a doll sculpt. nice painting.

Its a digital painting over an image. In this case its a paintover of the posed 3D models. Hence why he credited their respective modellers and texturers in each one.

You should do the Vikings from the programme. Your style is awesome, Β you could choose to stylize Ragnar, Floki, Rollo, Bjorn, Largertha, Torstein and many others. I would love to see a new sort of mixing of your great style and real life people, their features and how they look. Seems like something that could yield really interesting results. I just think with your skill and the characterization of the characters you could make amazing art. Just a suggestion.

I have no idea what Heroes of the Storm is, but holy F**K this made my day. I've freaking loved the Lost Vikings since 1995, and seeing them with more life breathed into them than ever before 20 years later is amazing. Thank you Blizzard. I may not play your games, but you guys are truly one of the most f***ing awesome game companies out there!
