On the prowl is the bulldog like dunkleosteus looking for sea scorpions and placoderms to kill with it's powerful jaws. Accompanying it is a small acanthodii shark ready to eat any scraps left behind after feeding time.

A new study looking at the size of dunkleosteus found that the animal was smaller than previously thought. previous estimates put it at 8-9 meters but this new study suggests a length of 4-5 meters. Mind you this smaller size still makes it the largest predator of the devonian seas!
