Now that I look at it, I think that if you'd remove only that 'shroom in the sky, the compositon would much more balanced.

Very Cute! I know someone that would just love your Giraffe.
Left side of the image seems a teeny bit unbalanced to the right but not sure what you're going for.
I think it's the giant cactus and the Psychological weight of the Elephant that's tipping the scale. The direction of the gaze of the child in the air does help bring things back into balance though.
