Description Just tested the Viewport shading of 3dsMax 2014, and I think its great
Simple Blinn Material and a 3 Point lighting setup.

The mesh is a highpoly of a sight of my compound bow I'm working on currently. More pics coming soon

Cool! Would be great to interact with it in 3D! Have you thought of uploading your final work on Sketchfab ? We've got a 3Ds Max exporter too

Yes I definitively did, already month's ago when polycount forum start to support sketchfab within their threads, but I don't got any model finished right now ;(
Don't know if I even need a 3dsMax exporter since SF supports .obj and .fbx format.

But how about importing high res meshes? Is there any limit, like the typical 65535 Triangles maximum because of 16Bit vertex index? This mesh has ~2.700.000 Triangles?

If I got my lowpoly and all the texturing done, I'll test sketchfab. I promise

Cool you heard of us
Talking about triangles, sky's the limit! This minicraft map has about 9.5M for example sketchfab.com/show/f19Vp1ZBAjO…
Looking forward too see your work on Sketchfab !!

WOW. This is very sexy, and way more powerful then I'd expected. Veeeryy cool

I let you know if I got something inside sketchfab

slightly better materials and will be fine! Cool!

Thanks for your comment. There is no real material setup, because I use this highpoly to bake a normal map out of it to I achive that amount of detail on a mesh with much muuuuch lower resolution (Game ready).
So materials are chosen for a nice presentation, not for realism

I will not argue with you, but are usually used for presentation vlestyaschie materials with almost complete reflection. Unfortunately you do not. Good luck.

I'm not arguing, I'm always open for feedback and critic. But this model wasn't created for looking realistic, so I just saved time here to continue my work.
I'm sure you could get a lot more if you take the time to do it properly.

btw. What are "vlestyaschi materials"? Can't find it on google. Or which 3D tool are you using?

yes, and it's not even rendered. Just a screenshot

Design is not done by me btw. It's a "Fuse interceptor" sight. Tried to model it as exact as possible.
