Yep! Although I came up with the idea for Candy the fox years before I started watching Gravity Falls.

The same thing happened to me when I was think of a plot form a story in 5th grade it was about a girl who came from outer space and meets a girl, or boy never determined and they go on zany adventures together, but little did I know it was almost the same as the plot as Star vs The Forces of Evil on Disney XD next year.

That's a shame, I know how frustrating it can be to come up with an idea for a story, only to discover that your idea has been taken. XD

you know what also sucks?
When you start singing a song that's really good, and you feel like you came up with it, and then someday you go back to something you haven't played or watched in years, and hear that exact song.
It happened to me one with Ants go marchingΒ or something, I thought I had a great Air Force song, but then turned out it's some crap I already heard many years ago...
