I've been trying to find a happy medium between the original Bane design and the Dark Knight version. Both have their advantages and disadvantages so I decided on a Dark Knight Bane with those gentle nods to the Venom formula that made Bane Bane in the original style.Related content

He totally lost against Venom, the symbiote not the drug. But he really has lost to the venom.

Very good combination design. Do you think the breathing mask serves the same purpose or it's there for show ? Is that tattoo on his shoulder "Madam" and is there an explanation for it ?

I'd like it better functioning in a similar way to Dark Knight Rises in that it's basically keeping him alive, but at the same time functions as a stimulant when activated at a higher strength. The tattoo says Madre as a funny little nod to his heritage

Maybe instead of inhibiting pain like the mask does in DKR, it's meant to help respiration problems that Bane has due to the massive level of Venom he keeps injecting into himself and the toll it takes on his body. So far it's only effected his lungs but continued use of Venom will damage more of his body.
Ah, I should of known that. I keep forgetting Bane is Spanish. I think Young Justice and Justice League Doom have been the only depictions of Bane to show any indication of him being Spanish with his accent and/or his home of Santa Prisca.
