Description (...)

"Where the hell did he go?" Tony asked, looking around.

Just the sound of his voice made the anger grow inside of you. You calmed yourself down before getting up, you barely never cried and at that moment you knew you just couldn't waste any time, so you simply took a deep breath and glared at Tony.

"I think I never hated you so much in my entire life, Tony." You said, advancing in his direction. Your hands clenched into fists. He looked surprised with your statement.

Maybe you weren't as good as Natasha or Clint when it comes to fighting, but you were trained on S.H.I.E.L.D. which means you could perfectly deal with punching Tony. He shouted when your fist met his nose with a disgusting breaking sound.

You obviously broke his nose.

"You are a huge dick, Tony Stark." You told him before taking a jacket and heading back to the elevator. "And I haven't forgot about your suits!" You yelled before the metal doors closed in front of you.

Loki was rancorous and vindictive. You knew he would come back with something planned and you couldn't let that happen, not if it would mean this time the Avengers wouldn't give him a second chance.

You knew him well enough to find out where he might be.

The fact that he was able to leave the tower was your fault. Your cursed yourself. If you hadn't asked Thor to talk to Odin and remove the protections, you would have time to fix the mess and explain yourself.

~ Flashback ~

"Thor!" You called the big thunder god, running to keep up with his large steps.

He glanced at you with a gentle smile. "Hello, lady (y/n)."

"Could you please stop walking. I... want to talk to you."

Thor immediately stopped, facing you with worry.

"Is there anything wrong?"

"No. Not exactly. I just need your help with something. Only if you agree, of course."

"Sure." He promptly replied, grinning at you. You smiled and rolled your eyes. It was obvious that Thor would agree.

"You won't even want to know what is it?"

"If you want to tell me." His eyes were sincere. How could he trust you that much?

"I-think-Loki-doesn't-need-the-barriers-and-we-should-ask-your-father-to-remove-them." You said it all together quickly, before he could cut you off. For your shock, Thor didn't react like if it was absolutely crazy. He just kept his gaze on you. "So... What you think?"

"I trust your judgment."

What the heck was wrong with that god? How could anyone be so comprehensive?

"Your brother always felt like if he was trapped in here, I believe that if we remove the protection, he will feel free." You sighed. "Loki is like me in this aspect. We need freedom. It would do good to him."

Thor nodded. "I'll talk to my father and ask him to send the sorcerer responsible for raising the barriers to Earth." It was unusual for him say Earth instead of Midgard, but he was learning that when talking to Midgardians it was the best way of saying it.

You chuckled and hugged him one time. "Thank you, Thor."

"You are very welcome."

~ End of Flashback ~

If you hadn't asked Thor to talk to Odin and remove the protections, you would have time to fix the mess and explain yourself.

Explain that, no, you weren't ashamed of him. In fact, you loved him and that feeling was slowly consuming you from inside.

You ran to the kitchen, where you last saw the Avengers, despairingly looking for Thor.

"Loki is gone." You blurted. Everyone looked at you, but only Thor seemed to understand. "You need to take me to Jotunhein."

"(y/n)..."

"I don't care if it's dangerous, or against one of your laws. You will take me there because I'm the only one who can fix that."

"We need to find a portal, so Heimdall may take us there."

"Then, Lets go!"

"What do you mean with Loki is gone?" Steve was the first one to talk.

"Yeah. What's going on?" Clint asked.

"I'll explain it better later. All you need to know is that, thanks to Tony and all of you guys, I made Loki mad and now he left the realm." You said, without looking at any of them in particular. You grabbed one of the many keys hanging on the wall and pulled Thor by the wrist, taking him to the garage.

You pressed the unlock button and smirked when a beautiful blue old Shelby Cobra made its sign. Even after everything you could still have some fun. You jumped to the driver's seat while Thor, not fast enough, entered the passenger's seat.

"Buckle up." You warned, igniting the car and enjoying the roar of the engine. You rolled your eyes when your words confused him. "Please, fasten your seatbelt." You said imitating a flight attendant. Thor nodded and did as you ordered.

You didn't waste any time.

Thor seemed slightly scared with your speed and sudden movements. His reaction actually amused you. It made you have something else to focus instead of Loki.

You stopped exactly in the middle of nowhere. The perfect location according to Thor's specifications.

You jumped out of the car and walked away from it and standing on the circle filled with runes. He followed you and looked to the midday sky.

"Heimdall! I need you to take us to Jotunheim!" He shouted, too close to your ear, you growled, but didn't complain.

A few seconds passed through. "Heimdall?" Thor called, uncertain if the Bifrost guardian would answer it or not. Just then a light hit and pulled you up, a weird feeling in your stomach.

You were dropped on your knees in some hard soil. Snow was supposed to be that hard?

You stood up and examined the surroundings, everything seemed cold and lifeless, just a huge amount of ice, rocks and hard snow. The freezing wind made your teeth starts chattering and your members losing movement.

"Follow me, lady (y/n)." Thor said. You nodded.

His steps were too large and soon he was far ahead of you. You tried to call him back, but your words were lost in the howling wind. You tried to heat yourself by stroking your arms.

Loki told you about Jotunheim and you thought it would look something like some remote part of Alaska or even the South Pole, but it looked worse and far darker than you imagined. Loki himself was a Frost Giant.

After everything went down he looked for his family. He looked for Thor. That's why you figured it out that's where he would be.

Soon you weren't even able to see Thor. You were definitely lost in another realm.

Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get any worse, you saw something coming your way.

You couldn't really difference Mountain and Storm Giants, but, since you knew Frost Giants (at least the way Loki told you they were) and knew Mountain Giants were a tribe species that obviously lived in the mountains, you figured the thing was a Storm Giant.

"Oh, God." You muttered, hiding behind a huge rock when more of them appeared on your line of sight.  If you fought hard, you might had been able to knock one of them down, but you would simply be smashed by the other two.

Where were Thor when you needed him?

You  urgently had to move or else you would freeze by just standing there. You weren't planning on taking that long to find Loki. You actually thought it would be easy, after all, Thor knew the place.

Then you heard a laugh. A guttural sound that that left goose bumps on the back of your neck. The rock was thrown aside and you turned to face the creatures.

"Look what I've found." The closest one said. "This being thought it could hide from a hunter!" He laughed again.

He tried to catch you, but he was too big and you were too fast. You dodged his grasp and somersaulted when the second tried to do the same thing. Your only weapon was a small dagger you kept hidden in your waist, it wasn't a really fair battle.

You kept moving and escaping their attempts of catching you, nailing the dagger on the shoulder of one of them when you saw the chance.

"Just kill the creature!" That one growled. The others agreed.

"Crap."  You said and your eyes widened when they took their weapons. "Thor!" You screamed, looking around hopelessly.

You shouldn't have done it.  You diverted your attention from the battle, one of the first thing you were taught not to do.

The pain filled all your senses, the cold  not bothering you anymore. His blade had pierced your chest. You closed your eyes and whispered the last word in your mind:

"Loki."

Well there goes that. Am I dead now? Why didn't I just run to catch up to Thor? Now I am killed by 3 frost/ mountain giants! Yep, this doesn't help at all. Onward!

It's kind of hard to run on snow during a snowstorm wearing not very warm clothes and not being a god...

You almost broke the first unwritten rule of xReaders: Don't kill the reader.
Still one of the best ones around...

Mrivso In reply to DorkyDrawer [2014-06-15 21:13:18 +0000 UTC]

I didn't know about that rule... I'm glad I chose to let the reader live then. Thank you

DorkyDrawer In reply to Mrivso [2014-06-18 17:43:10 +0000 UTC]

Well, if you kill the reader, he/she cannot participate in the story and it becomes so sad because Loki or someone else misses them, becomes really sad and there's nothing you can do about it...   Apart from letting them forget the reader or fall in love with someone else... So yeah.

Mrivso In reply to DorkyDrawer [2014-06-18 19:51:13 +0000 UTC]

Yeah... I guess that would be sad, anyway, killing the reader wasn't on my plans for that one.
