Description The Hedge tank is a revolutionary defense design. With the first ever fully electric system it allows for quieter engines, the DMPS system, quick turret servo rotation along with deployment and stronger EMRG rails. The EMRG (electro magnetic rail gun) systems can be improved by transferring energy from other systems and focusing them into the other (e.g. turning off the engine so the EMRG will have more power or vice versa)

Specs

27 MJ (max) EMRG cannon with a range of 130 miles (3m accuracy)

4 1200 HP engines on each track for a maximum speed of 65 MPH

DMPS (diamagnetic protection system) for repelling magnetic projectiles. Different projectiles are more repelled by amount of paramagnetic ability (i.e wood is repelled more than iron). The shields can withstand a direct hit from a tomahawk missile if the power is focused to the shielding alone.

The quad-tracks can deploy each into a 45 degree angle outward and pitch about 30 degrees for increased slope proection (see the left tank and the right tank for difference)

one last thing, i know diamagnetic is one abbreviation it just doesn't sound right as DPS

Pretty original, I like it! But next time, get rid of the text on the floor. I kinda dislike the pavement's texture as well.

yes. as do i. unfortunately the render is 14 hours...

check out the deployed tank model though, it doesn't have any pavement or text.

i would suggest that in your next render you lose the title on the ground and just do a subtle 2D title block in the corner of the image in Photoshop or something. Also maybe make a simple bump map to put some expansion gaps (effectively just panel lines) in the concrete material to make it look less like a giant, infinite extrusion. Unless you want it that way. Just something to break up all that flat surface, like the vents in the embankments at ground level. In other news, I didn't notice until now that the entire "hull" turns instead of just the gun. That is severely cool - I'd love to see some of these in an RTS, Company Of Heroes style.

As for the bump map, i agree, along with the title. the "primary" hull is actually below the turret, the turret just contains the cockpit along with the cannon, and is quite a bit bigger than the other hull. but yea i think i have a little bit more work to do.
