Description Joe lives across the road from me, he often sits on the benches at the end of the road with a cig watching the town go by.

Joe is pretty cool and will get a nice free print of this xD

Thank you. I am easily inspired by people portraits - I recently picked up Himalaya hardback which documents Eric Vallli's photography in the region and his people portraits are just superb.

I have always like portraits best of people who are either elderly or children, with the elderly they have their life mapped out in the lines in their face and with children it is that look of curiousity and such a zest for life. You truely are a great photographer you have the gift to spot all of those things we pass by everyday and forget to stop and see the beauty that is sitting right in front of us.

I agree with your comments about the elderly and children - I have lots of elderly relatives who would make a great portrait but they're very traditional so don't like their photo taken - a shame I guess but respect to their traditions

Many thanks!

yeah, well even my friends are hard to get a good photo of because they are either crossing their eyes or throwing up the peace sign.

Ohhhhhhhhh... Totally awesome portrait... what a rich textured skin, so excellent for b&w photography!!! You look at him and have a compelling urge to want to know what he is thinking, what he has done in his life, to hear his life stories....

Hi There!
You have just earned yourself an O.D.D.(oibyrd's daily devs) feature ! congrats!
TODAYS THEME - Spotlight on Photography
ODDS (oibyrd's daily deviations) are to honor the sometimes overlooked artists of dA that I personally think deserve some exposure and also, to introduce the more popular artists to the new/overlooked deviants. I prefer to showcase ALL artwork that I love (and that includes popular artists with a fair amount of traffic to their work) in order to create a non-biased feature of the talent on dA. Please click the link below to see your work featured and to view other featured artists . If you prefer not to be a featured artist, just send me a note and I will remove you from the list. Cheers!
