Description At last I got this bad boy done this weekend. I've been working on it for months, but my painting time is pretty hard to come by.

I refer to this piece as Surreal, because my landscapes are pretty otherworldly. Actually the mountainous background is purple but my camera turned it blue. I'm not sure what's up with that, perhaps the light or something?

Anyway, it's done at last and I'll be framing it soonish. The mat and frame here is generated digitally using Twisted Brush Pro.

Sprout is painted using acrylics with some watercolor techniques on Strathmore watercolor paper...the good stuff!

Heh, much thanks. You know? I have two versions of this piece ...and I'm beginning to think this one is the best. Though it's been laying in a folder for years now.

Funny, the blue mountains are more surreal than purple ones.

Hey there, thanks! Heh, I want that sky, man! I might do some additional work to this piece one of these days. It is a bit plain.

This one really shows your painting skills. Great job!
I like the balance of colors here. The blues and all. The green plant swirls beautifully, quite life-like, like a plastic plant.
The whole thing reminds me of old style fantasy book covers. I don't know if that makes sense.

Woot! Thanks so much for the comment and observations, Psy! I really like to paint like this but coming up with the time is so tough these days. It's worth it though and the more I do (like this) the more I learn too. And yes, I think I know what you mean about the old style fantasy covers.
