At last I got this bad boy done this weekend. I've been working on it for months, but my painting time is pretty hard to come by.I refer to this piece as Surreal, because my landscapes are pretty otherworldly.
Actually the mountainous background is purple but my camera turned it blue. I'm not sure what's up with that, perhaps the light or something? Anyway, it's done at last and I'll be framing it soonish. The mat and frame here is generated digitally using Twisted Brush Pro.
Sprout is painted using acrylics with some watercolor techniques on Strathmore watercolor paper...the good stuff!

This one really shows your painting skills. Great job!
I like the balance of colors here. The blues and all. The green plant swirls beautifully, quite life-like, like a plastic plant.
The whole thing reminds me of old style fantasy book covers. I don't know if that makes sense.
