If Pokemon were in fact real I'm not sure if I would be happy. Probably more terrified. This excellent art work kind of proves it. I'M SCARED OF THAT BIG ASS TURTLE!

I think if pokemon were real and were as terrifying as you portray them, I think I would pick squirtle as a starter. I like all the starters, but the way you portrayed blastoise... he looks so huge and unstoppable!! (And I would need the protection, lol)

Overall, it is very good. You only missed one thing - Blastoise's water cannons that give it it's name.

Thats not about realistic and over-complicated things, and i think thats make the differences about the reinterpretation of others.
