I think that the pictures are great! Fantastic focussing, and good detail. I also like the idea of having a double frame made out of these two images, since they compliment each other very well. I think that the thing you are missing is probably contrast. I think that the images seem a little flat to me, and would be a little bit better if some contrast was added.

although i do agree with you.. its missing a little something, but i cant put my finger on it either

maybeeee if you put a light background design where the white is.. very subtle tho. Like a vintage pattern or something and just lightly overlay it .. idk ^-^ haha
