The rumor that they were engaged, was kind of true.

(Name) didn’t know it, but a couple weeks after Mephisto found out they were dating, Amaimon was starting to get upset. He felt pressured, anxious, and worried. Mephisto liked to point out that his relationship with her would never last if things continued the way they were. If anyone else found out, there’d be serious consequences. For both of them. (Name) would be expelled and would never become an Exorcist, all her friends would hate her and abandon her. And Amaimon didn’t even want to think about what the other demons would do to him. Or even his father.

Like she did every night, (Name) was sitting on her bed studying (because she was too much of a procrastinator to do it during the day, before it was due in twelve hours). She was wearing short shorts, a tank top, and had her hair up in a pony tail. The textbook she had open was rested on her bed in front of her. Feeling herself getting more tired, she closed the book and set it on her night table. A bit of light green appeared out of the corner of her eye. When she turned, Amaimon was leaning on the doorframe only three feet away, with his usual blank face

“You didn’t scream this time.” He stated. She smiled and walked over to him. After reading his facial expression, which is something most people were not good at, she realized something was up with him.

“Are you ok, Amaimon?” she asked, cocking her head to the side. He took her shoulders and sat her down on the bed, looking at her with what he thought was a blank expression. She began to feel a bit nervous. “Okay, something’s wrong.” She said, “W- what happened? D- did I do something? Because if I did I-”

“Do you love me?” he asked. Her cheeks turned a light pink color.

“Y- y- yes.” She whispered.

“Good.” He said, taking her face in his hands. “You’ll be mine one day, forever. And everyone will know. I’ll make you a demon soon, and then you’ll be the Earth Queen. I promise.” For a few moments, she stuttered over words, trying to think of something to say. A thought occurred to him. “I’m getting candy.” He stood up and went to the brown paper bag that she always filled with candy for him.

“A- Amaimon?” she said quietly. He turned around, with a lollipop stuck in his mouth and an eyebrow raised. “What’s going on?”

“I just told you.” He said walking over and bending down so they were at eye level, then took her face in his hands again. “You’ll be mine soon.” His forehead pressed against hers, “Forever.”

Then he kissed her roughly. (Name) was still completely in shock. Had he really just said that she’d be his forever? Was… was it a proposal? No, it seemed to be more like a ‘f.y.i’ kind of thing. She kissed him back as he begun to grow impatient, persistently biting and licking her bottom lip until she let him slip his tongue in. He carefully laid her down on her back, his hands running all along her. Though he pulled away.

“Are you ok?” he asked

“I…” she stuttered, “I, uh… there’s just a lot to process right now.” Her quiet voice faded with every word. He watched her with intense blue eyes as she thought. With everything to think about, her head began to spin. “Amaimon…”

“Want me to explain?” she nodded. Sighing, he laid next to her, his face only inches from hers. He moved a strand of hair out of her face and looked deeply in her eyes. “Why are you becoming an Exorcist? And before you ask, yes, it’s relevant.”

“Well…” she blushed a little, looking away. “When I was a little kid I had kind of a big family. Me, my parents, three older sisters, two older brothers, two younger sisters, and four younger brothers. I was the only one that could see the demons. They didn’t believe me…” (Name) sighed, “One night at dinner, they came. I tried to say something, but they didn’t see it. Then they all got killed. And I was the only one that got away because I could see them.”

“(Name) I’m a demon.” He said, “And you’re going to be an Exorcist. If we’re in the same room only one of us is supposed to be alive. That’s only one reason we can’t tell anyone. And you’re also a mortal.” A smirked danced on his lips, “But not for long.”

“Amaimon…”

“You’ll be the Earth Queen, (Name).” he said, leaning his face in closer

“But I have to be an Exorcist…” she whispered

“You’ll be both.” His claw ran down her face, “And you’ll be mine.” Gently, he pressed his lips on hers. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

He smirked, “I know.”

“Shut up.” She pouted.
