Back in 2010 early 11 we had a hard winter, I headed up to one of the Wildlife Sanctuary to photograph this beautiful coyote they had in what was about -15 degree weather. After photographing the coyote and heading to one of the learning centers I happen to see this beautiful Hawk sitting just to the left of the bird feeders. I sat there a photograph the Hawk and got as close as I could and this hawk did not fly off until a duck landed in the pond behind me and he only moved over to a tree looking over the pond. I did find out from the Employees at the Sanctuary that the hawk has been hanging around all winter picking off birds at the feeder and ducks that where hanging around the pond
