oh this was actually my norn ranger character, I chose Sylvari armor 'cuz I think it will suit the forest theme better
and the pointy ear ... was just out of interest

That's because she's a norn. You can see the tribal tattoos on her legs.

Ears aside (I think that was just the artist adding their own touch), the armor is actually from the Nightmare set, which is obtained from the Twilight Arbor dungeon and is available to all races.

Aaah, it looks absolutely beautiful. The colors are vibrant and wonderful. I'm guessing the red fiery stuff is when you and your pet gain... fury? Might? Looks quite awesome ^^
