pretty women and cute kittens are the bread and butter of dA. Put them together, and you have a magnificent image to be reckoned with.
On a more technical note, I think the reason this image has such impact, aside from its subjects, is its depth of field. The focus is perfect; it accentuates your eyes, creating a natural, strong focal point, with the sweeping line of your arm drawing the viewer's eye to the kitten. Well done!
