I can give you advice; how were you going to go about making it?

Sorry for the wait for my reply, my computer is half dead and exams are looming...
The best advice I can give is to go find a pattern for a long coat, and modify the front by making one side button over the other, and getting that trademark slopey shape at the top of the legs. Don't even bother trying to find a pattern that is right without modification, 'caus I don't think they exist!
Also, use the cheapest white cotton drill you can find. That way mistakes aren't going to be expensive, and the texture of the fabric is right for the costume (it is the stuff some lab coats are made from).
Good luck!

This series makes me giggle like a loon, and gives me ideas for my own coplays.
Thanks!

Is there a pattern you used or did you just modify it yourself?

I bought a coat pattern which had the to-one-side button up style, and modified it (changed the sleeve length, collar style, and made it cut away at the front of the waist).
