they live in lush jungles on several islets in Ilas Tani, they are considered to be nuisances by the Gnomes. inspite of their humanoid shape, they are not Gnomes themselves but rather they exist as a bane to Gnomes created by Coramun, the solar mythical pokemon.

Gnomes are constantly at war with Pigmichi, so far the Pigmichi have been contained on just a few islets that the Gnomes don't inhabit. sometimes troops will find their way to other islands in the region and cause havoc for any Gnomes in the area, but once they are discovered they are either thrown back through the connecting portals and the portal sealed, or they are outright destroyed. very few have been captured and enslaved, but it happens occasionally. enslaved pigmichi remain wildly destructive no matter how long they are captive, even after generations of captivity, so they are kept only by royal and noble clans as whipping boys. no female pigmichis leave their designated islets so only examples of males have been reported. the markings on their faces differ and the number of feathers in their hair denote their rank in their tribes.
