no one is sure what he looks like behind his mask, the burn scar on his torso is evidence of the events that caused his evolution.
his magic cuffs are all that remain after the fire that took his former partner and the orb that contains his broken heart was lost long ago. sold to a jeweler who crafted and sold hold items.

having given away his broken heart- a taboo among Hollomancers- he's been ostracized, which he's perfectly fine with... however, his skills as a spy and hunting down targets are valuable and when King Stanyll gave the order to find the wayward Wishard Everdark, Gireg summoned Raleph first as he knew he was one of the best for the job.

when Everdark was blasted in the back by his sister, Raleph had formed a protective screen quickly enough to take most of the damage before it shattered. if not for that quick action, Everdark may not have lasted long enough to be revived back in the castle... however, due to Raleph's taboo status, he was never acknowledged. Everdark was never even told in spite of a number of witnesses being around, not that he expected anything else.
