And here we have another Horror/Sci-fi movie alien for this season’s Halloween crossover aliens. This ghastly extraterrestrial hails from hails from the 1956 black and white Horror/Sci-Fi movie “It Conquered the World”.

I first learned of this Alien by seeing another Person’s Fan art of it then looked up the movie it came from. I looked up the facts about this creature and it looked pretty good. It’s kind of reminds me of the Utrom From the TMNT franchise, but I still like it nonetheless.

So let’s get into the facts about this alien!

Species: Venusian

Powers and Abilities

Mind master has the ability to produce little flying fanged manta ray like creatures that when biting another being in a major artery inject a special venom into the victims bloodstream, which when takes fully a hold on the victim allows Mind master to telepathically control the victim putting them completely under his control. This is notably similar to the Vladat Omnitrix transformation “Whampire”.

He is highly resistant to small arms gun fire as demonstrated by other members of his species.

His sharp crablike pincers can be used to attack enemies and can cut through a verity of soft materials.

Mindmaster has no emotions whatsoever like the rest of his kind, this can be helpful in some cases when up against opponents or entities that feed on emotions.

Weaknesses and disadvantages

While highly resistant to gun shots, heavier and more stronger weapons can harm or even kill him.

He can only produce up to 10 of these manta ray creatures at a time and he will have to wait 3 hours between each reproduction cycle to make more of them.

Beings who are immune or resistant to venom can overcome his manta ray’s venom.

as a species that has no emotions Mindmaster is somewhat cold and apathetic. takes much of Ben’s concentration to keep this transformation to be motivated to do what he wants it to do. He also needs to be careful not to seriously harm a person due to his lake of emotions.

Beings under Mindmaster’s control are also turned emotionless, which makes it easier for others to identify them as not normal acting.

when Ben turns back into his human form his manta ray creatures die off and those who were under his control as Mindmaster regain their free will and emotions.

Design Notes

I kept most of this guy’s Original Design the same but one aspect two aspects I changed for this guy was his arms and the four tentacles on each of his pincers. First off the arms the Venusian in the movie were had joints on them, but the main reason for making them more flexible looking and flaccid was because I based it on the first picture I saw of the alien which was made by a guy named FutureDami. now for the pincers, they were his species main grasping appendages. But one thing that bothers me about aliens like this is That pincers are not a reliable way of manipulating tools and other objects. Since they are an intelligent species it needs to make sense that they can properly manipulate things to make and create stuff like humans and other intelligent species. so I put those pairs of tentacles on each sides of his pincers as a sort of pseudo fingers that can stretch and lengthen a little to grasp and manipulate stuff.
