Description Still drawing trolls in my sketch book.  I think I am getting better with the copics, but man this took forever.  There are little spots I am not happy with, but if I don't' mention them, I don't think anyone else will notice... ahahaha... I still haven't found a white ink/gel that I really am happy with though, so any suggestions would be met with flowers and joyful praises.  This is a biggun btw, he takes up the whole darn page, not a bit of space left.  Some red added in potatoship later on just cuz.

And sonofabitch, the troll tag is going to be flooded with happy sparkly movie-based suffering for a while now isn't it? As if candy-corn horns weren't just finally going out of fashion.  (I enjoyed homestuck as much as anyone on the internet, but honestly, it made searching for my big furry murder-babies a bit more tedious.)

Not really?  I guess.  I mean, this is just how I draw generic trolls.  He isn't a specific troll with anything behind him.  I've been on a troll kick, working out how I want them all to look, talk, act.  That kind of thing.

Well, it belongs to you now. But I'm quite sure there are more to trolls than just being scary, sleeping under bridges, chasing goats, and being Sauron's minions. Norse mythology, for example....
Maybe you can do an artbook called "Trolls". But has THAT been done already?

Oh there are plenty that use similar style trolls to this, including this amazing fellow I just came across (his trolls are just adorable!!!!).  And actually, the Norse and Scandinavian troll is where I really base my concept.  Ok, some of my guys might happen to live under bridges but I have other rules and culture that I am working out.  For the giggles.  I don't honestly care for the D&D/WoW/Peter-Jackson-LotR style trolls (although Troll IS my favorite WoW race).  For me, its gotta be doofy furballs with tails, in the end.

And yes, it has been done, by one of the best in the business, Brian Froud.  He is an inspiration.  The book is on my shelf. I have read it a few times.  XD  Highly recommend.

Incidentaly, have you ever read that picture book called "Faires"? I know it was ages ago, but I'm sure it's still in print....hopefully.

...I might have?  I am not sure which one specifically, if it is the Brian Froud one, yup right next to the Troll book on my shelf.  But I think there may have been other ones with that title.

Understood. But that book did come out in I believe either the late Seventies or early Eighties.
