Thanks himago-chan!!! I've been really trying to draw fingers. I felt like such a cheat drawing stumps as hands But hands are so hard to draw XD I've been watching youtube tutorials on how to draw them. Just gotta work up the confidence to draw it X3

ah yeah, I was using stumps on my chibis cause I saw a lot of bases and tutorials I'd first looked at (way back in 2009 lol) didn't have fingers on them. so I was like, okay I'll leave em off. makes the drawing get done faster too. for drawing hands though, you can look at your own hand and go off that for certain poses, like you may even have to put your hand in a certain pose and take a picture (or get someone else to do the hand pose and take a picture of their hand/s). oh, actually, I have a post in my tumblr likes that has a bunch of references for various hand poses, though they're not chibi: badass-art-tutorials.tumblr.co… it might help to at least get an idea of the shape of a hand and the different kinds of poses/gestures it can make
at the very least, I hope you've been doing like practise sketches; you don't have to upload them but practise certainly helps if you'd like, you can put the sketches in your stash and link them to me in a note, so I can see them. I'm not great at drawing hands either but I've been figuring out that drawing shapes for at least the palm helps to make the hand look more realistic

I think I did the same. I was quite happy using stumps as hands as a chibi is in itself a simplified drawing. Of course it doesn't work for all poses but it is cute and effective!

I watched a video on youtube it was something like 'How to draw hands for people who can't draw hands.' It was quite simplified like the stumps but it still got fingers included in there. I'll try and find the link for you. 

I'll try some practice using the link you sent over. I'll let you know when they're uploaded!!
