This is the most captivating photo I have seen in months! I lve the contrast between the sharp cat and the blurred background the most. The odd eyed cat always seems to know more that it should. This Cat looks to be street wise. I think the movement and the focused gaze of the cat imply he or she knows something you don't. It seems to be at the end of a story that I am just walking into and don't know the background. That is funny to the cat. It seems I am being left out on some joke...

In my imagination these two live in the street in a suburb in Russia, all they have are eachother. The cat is even older (and wiser) than the boy so it kind of takes care of him.. by not leaving his side.

I have lived with cats in the family for 48 years. I've taken some good cat pictures and looked at some great cat pictures and none of them were as wonderful as this one and none as unusual for representing so well the bond and ease of a cat with a young boy (or girl). This is what my kids look like holding a cat and they can do it and the cat will allow it in a way that no adult would be able to do. Wonderful photograph. Thanks so much for posting it.

I love this cat's expression, it looks almost possesive of the boy and the fact that he's so large and the child is so small only goes to emphasize that feeling to me :3 Lovely shot!
