It would have been more believable if Gendry had been seduced by a Melisandre that looked like this instead of that ugly actress who plays Melisandre in the show.

I don't think the actress is ugly, just very different from the book version of Melisandre. Anyway, that scene was a bullshit, completely ruined show!Gendry for me...

I agree that it was pretty shitty of the writers to throw away Gendry's and the BwB's characterization for a boring sex between two characters that never even met. Double ew for having Mel be abusive to Gendry towards the end.
