My reallllly creep species omg they have no legit name besides Die Blutigen Körper (The Bloody Bodies) which they do live to that title. Orrrr ///just thought of this lmfao/// Die blutige Vogel or translation means The Bloody Bird. EITHER WORKS, THEY GOT BLOODY BODS AND THEM BLOODY BIRDS.

Some notes;
They are blood seekers and brutally suck the life out of their victims with the holes on them beaks of theirs. Not only blood but the power of the suction will take through ripped parts of organs and possibly bone at times if they peck your bones to pieces.
A big lump in their neck is for storing blood as they eat, it fills up and goes down gradually into their bodies and when the pocket in the neck fills up and no longer allows blood to go into its body, the slits on its neck will start to ooze out the excess blood or times it'll just store it and wait over time for it to go down and it feeds off that.

Mostly they go after forest animals hence that's where they live. Bigger animals are their favoring because they have more blood to feed on.
Like deer and wild bores. Smaller animals they will target but for like snacks or emergency food. Humans are on the list as a favorite but will only attack if they come near them or a unlucky hunter gets targeted. They don't go hunting for people but surely will feed on them if they come to them. Free food more or less, and free good food at that.

They are extremely bird-like when it comes to the quick head/body movements and pecking actions. Their bodies can move in rather strange inhuman-like positions and ways. Twisting their heads nearly completely around like a owl,

They make their more bird-like sounds when in trees to camouflage as some sort of bird then pounce down onto prey and when on attack or feeling really threatened they make their more distinct sounds (the link above) to scare away things.
