The great frozen north of Canada. Spring is still a future thought here.

Oh...Canada...amazing country!
At the age of 15, spent a few weeks with an aunt in Sarnia, Ontario...probably more then a thousend miles away from you?!
Coming from the "tiny" Netherlands it was quite an experiance!
Also travelled down the US through states like Georgia and Florida.
It was the time of my life and later, back home I had to adjust, everyting seemed so small

That's what I love about travelling in Europe, that I can just hop on a train and be in the next country in an hour, or that a one hour flight will take me several countries over. I'm from the western part of Canada, and I went to university on the eastern coast - my flights home were over five hours if I could get them direct!

Yes...every environment has its own pro's and contra's...I understand but sitting in my backyard (5x5 meters is normal haha) on a nice sunday, I would like to have some peace but instead I hear: cars, a train, children screaming/crying, an electric saw, LOUD music that is not my favourite and last but not least I have to go inside because my neighbour is having a BBQ and I am choking in his smoke!
Can try to go to the beach instead but as from 09:00 in the morning the traffic to the beach is totally jammed for the rest of the day...and so on...
Anyway, longing for more space desperately

Good internal detail and good control of focus.

Cheers

David

Hello David,

I was in doubt if this wouldn't have worked better when all in focus?
Thanks!

I think you would set yourself a difficult task to get everything in focus in such an image. You don't want the background in focus, but perhaps the petals of the crocus head. I think you would have to do three or four shots with different focal planes and then use focus stacking software. Having done this myself I know that it is time-consuming and deeply frustrating if some small part remains out of focus.

Ciao

David
