I just got a graphics tablet! It's all kinds of fun! I'm still getting to grips with it.I also just started reading Homestuck, which is also all kinds of fun. I've no idea what act I'm on, but I know I've got a ways to go before I catch up.
Anyway, posting this makes me nervous because it's the first time I've put any effort into drawing with a tablet, and also my first Homestuck fanart. But either way, I hope somebody gets a kick out of it.

Sexy collarbones by the way, and pretty, pretty purple in his hair, I love it! The background is pleasing too, I like how his hair on that side has no hard outline /tiny critique

ahaha thanks so much! I'm finding the tablet both easier and harder than drawing IRL. Because on one hand, you have a back button, but on the other hand there are too many options, and you can literally do anything (which I'd be tempted to call some kind of MiRaClE) and it's hard to reign it all in, haha. But I'm super glad you think so, thank you! :'D
re: the act thing, I never take any notice of which act I'm on when the curtains close. And then I'll be all like, hey guys and dolls, don't spoiler me, I'm only on act... wait. Where am I again?

It is always a big change when switching medias. Believe me, gah. I had the hardest time.
What I found to help is taking traditional art, scanning and opening it into PS/an art program,
then when open in said program making a layer over the drawing and tracing it digitally. c:

I was doing that, but I found it really frustrating to trace stuff because for some reason it always looked like ass. But I'm getting the hang of sketching digitally now so *thumbsup*
As of right now, Terezi is telling Dave to wire her 413 boonbonds EXACTLY, and before that Kanaya was telling Rose that it might not be a good idea to fuck shit up so much. And she tried to persuade Rose into letting her make some sweet outfits, which I thought was both sweet ad hilarious.

That's... actually yes. When I draw with pen and ink I do it without sketching first and use big bold lines and it never occurred to me to do it like that! Going to try that now.

I just recently started using layers. I go up to about 5 at most.

I like sketching because it gives me rough idea of what I want. Then I can go back and clean it up. c:
