Don't say there wasn't much Photoshop work done with this... It's blatant and and extensive; the bevel effect you applied or whatever- the plastic wrap appearance, I think it ruins the photo, and it's not worthy to be called a photo anymore; it'd be a photomanipulation. I think you need to check the gallery guidelines for the definition of a photo and photomanipulation. A lot of the stuff I see you submit as photos has been heavily manipulated, and not in ways that are achievable in the darkroom. Just couldn't not tell you what I thought.

Your right i did use the plastic wrap, but even that i used it minimally because there was already a heavy glow around him. And that was actually the only thing besides slight levels and hue which isnt manipulation. But your right looking back on this older photo i would agree that it should atleast be considered darkroom because it wasnt "heavily manipulated". I dont know which other photos would be photomanipulated because you say "a lot" of them are but i honestly dont see it...

It reminds me of a butterfly emerging out of a cacoon. There seeming to be like a plastic of sheet over the face, melting off by the light.
In a Christian consapt, this is so awsome!! (out side one as well, I am sure, but my judgment is squed because of my relationship with Christ ^.^;;; ) The light, being Jesus Christ, pulling away our sin! We become beautiful buterflies. Our beauty only being because of Jesus Christ, there for uplifting him and giving glory to him. All being a cascade event, We become the light of the world (as the verse emplays!)
I can't tell you how much of an incragement this shot is! You did a beautiful job desighning it and pulling it off! Thank you so much for sharing!!

Hey thanks, another comment! Yea its not too hard and its really fun! Its like painting and photography in one. I have many more that are like this that im planning on submitting.
If your camera has a manual setting you should be able to, if its all automatic then you cant really. If its automatic you should still be able to because if its extrememly dark then it will set a slow shutter speed automatically. If all else fails read the manual.

Yea manual takes more patients and precision but gives you more control and is personally funner (if thats a word?). And its more of an art.
Im glad you cant wait, ill try to get some more up.

Goodness, mang! I gotta commend you on using a flashlight and low shutterspeed for the effect, that's probably why it looks good. Admittedly, it looks a lot like the 'glow' PS effect so many cheapskate photomanip photographers have used in bad photos, but you've succeeded in taking that effect to new levels of technique, style, meaning, and beauty.

Thanks alot! Yea i was afraid it would look too "Photoshopped" thats why i stated that in the title. I did however brighten it up and change the color just a little in Photoshop which made it glow a little more. I am glad you like it.
