Finally got something done! I haven’t posted anything in over a month. Was working on something else when ~1incubus commented on my old minotaur pic and I finally set to work on the revamp of it. Was long overdue. Fixed his anatomy, put in the colors he was meant to be, overhauled his weapon.

Reread the myth before I started the v2 and summarized. Goes somethin like this..
Poseidon gave “a wonderfully beautiful bull” to Mino’s so that he could sacrifice it to him (go figure how that works). But Mino’s didn’t kill it and kept it. As punishment, Poseidon made Pasiphae (Mino’s wife) fall madly in love with it. Resulting in the minotaur which Mino’s then had locked away in a specially built labyrinth.
Every nine years the people of Athens sent a ‘tribute’ of “7 maidens and 7 youths” who were to be released in the labyrinth. Theseus ended up killing him. But…honestly it wasn’t much of a fight for some reason. I find that odd…

There's so many weird-ass, if not flat-out fucked-up stories from back in the day out there. XP As usual, this picture stomps plenty of colons. Awesome job! I surely wouldn't like to be trapped in a labyrinth maze running from this dude.

I like this interpretation of the Minotaur.
Much more lithe than most depictions, which, even though they're often beautiful also, seem to be stuck in the massive bodybuilder with a bull's head and hooves mode.
Your minotaur looks more like a college quarterback than an olympic powerlifter, and that's definitely a nice change of pace.

I did a version of her a long time ago, plus one back for my mythology class in high school. Would be cool to do an updated version. Actually sounds like fun at the moment. lol Maybe I'll start it on my break at work tomorrow.
