I've been meaning to put this up. It's a deviation from what I normally submit. Anyway, I did this in Illustrator for a class of mine. It took a long time because it was the first time I've ever done something like this in Illustrator.It's the movie version of the MMPR White Rangers helmet.
I liked the show when I was kid, so when we were assigned to do a mask in Illustrator, I thought why not?
Yeah I know the lighting angles aren't that good but oh well.

Can't say as though I'm happy with the direction the show took after the movie (it all went downhill from there, IMO) but hot DAMN that's a nice piece.

How did you do this in Illustrator?! Did you have a concept to work from?! It looks like you did it entirely with gradients. Do you still have the .AI I would love to see the paths.
