Description
My first attempt at crocheting sweets, made more to help myself relax than as something I would sell.I used scrap yarn I had lying around, so with the yarns mismatched, parts of it ended up fuzzy (the frosting)
I also pulled a me type of thing and sat for an hour and a half sewing seed beads onto the strawberry.
Not my best work, but I felt I should share it anyway

The lady that taught me how to crochet recently passed away
I still wonder if someday I will be able to pass her up as her student; her work always seemed to have a glow about it...
Learning from the books can be a bit hard, especially when they use crochet lingo:
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - triple crochet
slp st - slip stitch
ch - chain
If they have a crochet class somewhere near you, I think it would help more to go and take the class than to learn at first from a book. Once you have the basics down, the crochet lingo comes in handy to read and write patterns~!!! : D
