Description This fan art piece is for ~zionprime having won the digital art portion of the March Reverse A DCU Character Contest at the ~DCU-Club .

Jason Todd, the former Robin, was alledgedly killed by the Joker in A Death in the Family. He returned(despite much fan disapproval of another character yet again coming back from the grave) using the codename of the Red Hood. He beats the crap out of the Joker with a crowbar (for revenge against the Joker beating Jason with a crowbar before alledgedly killing him with a bomb) and then kidnaps him. As the new Red Hood, Jason takes control over various gangs in Gotham City and starts an one man's war against Black Mask's criminal sectors. He actively tries to rid the Gotham city of corruption (such as drug dealing and gang violence), but in an anti-heroic way(how 90s of him). He has come into contact with Batman and several of his allies, including Robin the boy wonder(aka Tim Drake).

Nice work on Jason. I do have to agree that he shouldn't have come back (Especially since they had a poll to vote whetever or not to kill him off and most of the people voted for him to die), but I disgress. Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much. Yes, the vote was a close one, but the fans voted for Jason Todd to die...and dead he should have remained...but death in comics means nothing anymore. No one worries when their fav. characters die, as they'll be back written by someone else who will have said that they didn't actually die, or whatever other excuses they use for doing so.

NP. As for the death is comics things, it hasn't meant anything for a long time, but I see your point. Yeah, Jason should've remained dead, but the same can be say (and I agree with that) for Captain America's sidekick, Bucky.

Very true indeed. You can't even use the old addage of "Everyone in comics comes back from the dead, except for Bucky.". Dead is dead people, and if you come back, it had better be a story involving more than just "I wasn't really dead.".

I love how solid your lines are. Just-great line work. Nice light shading and super spiffy job on the detail and form. I am totally digging his shoes. Always a great piece of art from you. Loves it!

As you know, I bear down heavily when I draw...sometimes it's good...sometimes not so much. I'm so glad to see you like this one, as it's a little different from what I'm used to drawing. Thank you very much for the comment!
