Description Part of the third ArtPolitic release entitled "Religious State ". The initial concept behind this piece was to explore the crusades and the battle between Islam and Christianity has continued into modern day.

It changed and evolved somewhat as I did my background research on the history of the crusades but that is still very much the foundation the piece is built upon.

The question remains, how can either side of this conflict murder and wage war in the name of god?

Created in PS6 and Freehand 10.

a great pic, with a strong meaning. it is true that ossama is making the same mistake as the popes who ordered the crusades. very well done :°fav:

Its no longer in the name of god, thats just what the religious sects hide behind to justify their beliefs. They fight for themselves and what they believe is the true religion. When you look at it they practically have the same historical background that their doctrines and gospels of faith are based upon. I'm a Deist some what, I don't believe in religion but I don't believe god has walked out on us either.

Funny you mention your religious beliefs. I'd considered myself to be agnostic for the longest time but a friend of mine said my views were more in line with being a Deist, since I'd like to believe there is some higher power. Just not quite sure what it is, but I am sure that organized religion is not for me.

Funny how so many people hide behind and excuse their acts by saying 'it was god's will'. well if a god who says 'kill him he's black' or 'kill him he's gay' rules heaven, i aint going.

wow. very true. as far as the impending war on iraq is concerned, i like very much the idea of exile for saddam. it's something that pleases everyone- saddam stays rich (which is all he really cares about), bush gets what he wants (saddam gone), iraq goes free, and world war friggin' three is held off for another 20 years or so. good job, very l33t.

oh look, megadeth's holy wars just came up. i hate my computer.

I never understood how someone could do stuff in the name of God... like murder and bad things... Im sure that pisses Him of more than anything. Sadly enough so many religions/denomination who believe in Him have done just that... I really hate the people who act like its God's fault that they do that... Anyways, good work... looks good

i like this deviation, but i would really like a translation of the text in the center. im sure im not the only one

the balance between the two sides is phenomenal.. a definite addition to your already great archive.

i do wonder though why the horsemen on the left are wearing the same form of western attire as the riders on the right, shouldnt there be a difference (i know i know, using what you had available)

I adore you and your Art but your Art Politic's work amazes me...so much meaning and emotion hidden behind your images...its extraordinary....
The typograhpy down the middle is very nicely done....blending is amazing and the whole concept of this i can tell was very well thought out....
Fabulous all together and your description totally explained the image and so much more...
Thank for sharing hon

He's not mixing the ideas of two religions. Both religions share both of those phrases. Although violent war is more promoted by many Muslims, radical Christians have their own form of munitions: politics. Anyway, I'm not going to even START preaching. I enjoy this piece a lot, and it makes a good point to a blind people. I like the way you fit in the images together so nicely without overlapping them.

The first time i laid eyes on AP, i figured: "oh, another one of them low-life groups", but when i saw the contents of your release, i was very impressed. You`re the only artgroup that has managed to offend me with some of your ideals and views. I`d say i am pretty hard to offend in a moral way, so that alone speaks for itself.

Concerning the group, i hope that you will keep up the excellent work. Sadly, this community doesnt give you the respect or attention that you truly deserve.

Yeap i wonder what would be the state of mind if not CIA (G.Bush)had interuped in russias intervention of Afghanistan,
after all they had built schools and hospitals in most regions
that was largly populated but then came the weapons feeding
a war that has continoued since, nothing of that the history
has showed would have happened then... perhaps, if so then it was maybe not that wrong of russia then, i don't know it's a hypothetic question i know. weapons talks stills. I remember the propaganda from both sides when that conflict was started.
