Out of the blue, I felt like drawing something for *The-Kei .. just because.

Kei was one of the first few people that started to watch me as well (I think it was after I watched her) and one of the first that I talk to online through deviantART (you didn't know that, did you, Kei? ).

She's very informative about what she sees as she comments the good points and critiques where there's a disaster in a drawing (like.. a short arm, for instance).

As for drawing Gabriel... there were many different ways.
She has changed her style through the years, compared to when she had a different account of deviantART (which I will not mention, unless she wants me to). He had a two toned face, a pointed up ear and different hair style. Now it's one toned with a pointed down ear. And me and my noob self not knowing how to go through scraps (I find later there was a reference for it), I did this without a ref, so please forgive me for horrible errors~.

Well anyways, I appreciate the awesome feedback whenever you give me one and I hope to try and see if I can get involved the OH (started by Natomi, just didn't wanna confuse you) community like I used to be a LONG time ago. XD;

Very cool, actually its Awesome ^^ I really like the eye style and the matching hair color highlights are a nice touch that compliments the eyes! The lighting and the shading is good as well!

Pretty good.

I like that scratch shading below the chin.

Using that shading in fluently for a character's depth over water colours would be interesting.

Ha, shoulders too, I don't see those much any more.

Thanks. I find that keeping the sketch makes the lineart stand out more and better looking.
I just wish that my sketches were sometimes a bit neater.

Hm? What do you mean by the shoulders? As in.. I didn't write enough detail and it just looks like a hump? I can't seem to draw anything lower from the neck nowadays, I'm trying though.

I was just saying that because you draw your shoulders in a greater anatomically correct fashion.

While with my style, I draw hardly any shoulders at all. The chest is compressed, and the head over shadows them. [link]

I was just saying that the shoulders you drew stick out more than what I used to working with. Nothing wrong with them though.

Well, I think cartoonists of your style tend to "deform" things as a unique style and I think it's a good thing. I mean.. you still have to keep proportions, but changing anatomy.. I'm sure is one part of the way people enjoy comics of your type.

It's so nice to see artwork from you again. ;0; I've missed your style and quality so much (( and don't you dare say that you don't have either. )). I think it's the eyes that really draw me in with each of your pictures. I certainly know that *I* can't draw eyes like you. :3 And plus, your coloring and shading have improved so much! Keep up the great work~

And whoa... There's something past version 3.03 for OpenCanvas? o_O Man, I'm so behind. ;-;

It has some new pencil tools like.. calligraphy and stuff. And some other painting tools too.

Especially his eyes, you caught that dull, bored expression of his very well, plus I like the colouring style you used for them! also I really like the shading on his skin.. And that sexy shiny hair! Lol~. So it did work. I was trying to do unexpected things. This is probably why I can never make OCs since I just doodle other people's characters.
Good that you liked it, it was the best I can do "without reference" (although there was one). Personally, I wasn't too happy about face shading simply b/c the faces I draw are too .. er.. ."smooth" or "unrealistic" so I can't figure how to shade~.

LOL. It's okay. I just thought most people would know that you and Kei were good buddies and do the OH thing. Well, it was a bad assumption on my part. We're not perfect after all. We make assumptions without thinking.

Yeah, it'll be up sometime.. hopefully before break is over.. so I can at least do something. It's not like I have anything to do much. I'm not very social. XDDD
