I had to do this thing, awwww.
It has been a real challenge to figure what "kind" of influences I should put into the meme, at the end I decided to choose the artists which I admire the most and that make my eyes go all teary and want me to bang my head against the wall, lol, with the supreme magnificence of their works and then make me want to pick up the pencil and draw, and the artists that represent a solid point for my drawing/painting style, those I always come back looking at when I'm searching for input and inspirations.
Then I added my "photo" and leterary source of inspiration and visions, and a special mention for the "MUSIC" *bow down bow down* intended as a whole, great, inspiring force...
Wow, this sounds so epic!ò____ò

Gustav Klimt: the one and only. I'll always be devoted to Klimt, one of my first source of inspiration and one of the reasons why I decided to try an "art career", some years ago.

Egon Schiele: when I was going insane trying to understand what the hell I wanted to draw, how I wanted to draw, what I wanted my figures to look like, I decided it was time to go back to the roots: Schiele. His ability with the pencil and the use of few poor colors to create masterpieces of visual and expressive intensity never case to amaze me. I'd give a leg to be as good as him, really.

Alphonse Mucha: I always wonder where we illustrators would be without him. He is like the great-ol'-father of us all. And he was such an amazing artist and creative mind. I saw a lot of his works in Prague, and, wow... It blew my mind.

Beardsley: Black and white, elegance, pervesion, grotesque, beauty... I have to add more?

Floria Sigismondi: the mixture of macabre and fashionism of her early works shaped my taste during the last two years.

Sarah Moon and Paolo Roversi: here to represent my obvious and shameless love for fashion photography and the huge influence their photos (delicate, vaguely old fashioned, sometimes creepy and disturbing) had on my subjects'choice.

Gottfried Helnwein: I can sink into the deep dark water of his artworks for hours and hours. Genius.

Baudelaire and Poe: Two writers/poets that can always provide new black burning visions to my mind's eyes. Love.

Dave McKean: There's any need to say something more, really? Reading the Arkham Asylum and admiring his artworks changed my life, totally.

Bill Sienkiewicz: I'm often scared by the wild and savage creativity and skills of this man.

Corrado Roi: A classic. I have read such horrible comics just to see his drawing, lol.

Sergio Toppi: looking at his beautiful works makes me week in the knees. Seriously.

Silent Era: covering everything from that happy age: the movies, the look of both women and men, the style, the icons of fashion (Louise Brooooks!!)... Everything!

Stina Persson: when it comes to fashion illustration and watercolor there's no one better than Stina. She has been one of my first source of inspirations when it comes to watercolors.

Maybe I'll do another one of this thing, sooner or later, just for the sake of justice, damm it!
