AMG animating hair is so fun *craicraicrai* I would have added more inbetweens to make it smoother but it works as is OTL plus I don't have the time to add more inbeweens

what do you use to do these animations? And is everything on it's own layer? I don't understand how animation works T-T I just do normal drawings. xd

^^ theres lots of drawing programs out there that can make small animations like this. I currently use Clip Studio Paint EX, but theres also photoshop, Krita, gimp... When i was starting off, I even used Sai and exported the frames on a gif making program.^^ And yeah, basically every frame is drawn in a new layer. Animation is tedious and very time consuming (and endlessly frustrating sometimes) but its fun to see the end result!

I aspire to be an animator, and love seeing rookie animators on this site (correct me if I'm wrong) that I can aspire to be like.
Can I ask? How do you maintain that flow with the hair. I have tried, but can never stay consistent with it.

It's all trial and error for me. ^^
But lately, I draw out all the keyframes and lay down a general movement and play it back on slow framerate. If I like how it looks, then I add inbetweens, as many as it takes for me to be satisfied enough with the movement. Sometimes it's just one or two inbetweens, and sometime it can be 5 or 6. I play it back again and tinker with the framerate so the playback and timing is how I want them to be 8D

Krita doesn't export animations into a gif so you need another program to make your animation into a gif.
I usually export my animation on Krita to png files and then I use this

You have to DL their file converter which will will make the gif process easier but you can also use photoshop or any other program (or website) That'll make your images into a gif.
