Here my entry for the contest. Feel free to see the originals ones ( link below)The first one was my very first digital art ever done with a graphic pad, so far, I used to use The mouse...
After many experiment through photoshop, I moved to Gimp when the previous one decided to crash, and ended up exerimenting again the tools and all...and sometimes Gimp crash too, so there even more experimenting on each complex work ( still hearing my boyfriend voice: Save more often!!)

Paper -- to none!! directly on the screen!!
Pose:
static -- dynamic
Color:
multiply layer over sketch with paint tool -- build over with airbrush tool
Program:
Photoshop CS3 -- Gimp 2.6
Background: .....still hate it, so no real improvement...

Note:
just noticed that I forgot to draw the blood like thing between the mask and the face...too bad, still look nice that way
