It happened again. It'd been a long time since the last time. But it happened again.
The wisps came.
Elvan wasn't a fool. He had seen wisps before -- hell, his older brother Civa commanded a small group of his own. Or so it seemed to him, at least. As a young boy, the male had been in awe of the little, floating blobs of light. Shy and elusive, they were, not a sight one saw every day. Special, he had thought of them back then, and special he thought of them now.
And now once again, he saw them.
Civa was nowhere around; they didn't come for him. So then...
One braver than the other trailed closer to him, another soon following, and he could see three more peaking from behind the trees.
They had come for him, to him.
"Hello," the boy whispered hesitantly. And though he tried his best not to spook them, the wisps seemed to react to his voice, flickering a few times, before floating away only to vanish from his sight moments later. "Until next time..." the Petal murmured, his eyes still staring at the fading blue glow of their trail.

The community challenge theme is ARCHETYPE.
Philosopher Carl Jung defined twelve primary types that symbolize basic human motivations. Each type has its own set of values, meanings and personality traits, and many characters from books, television and film can also be sorted into these archetypes. Which one best represents your character?
• Elvan's Jungian archetype is The Everyman. •
Although he may not realize it himself, Elvan has always strived to make connections. Laid-back and empathetic, evident even when he tries to hide it, realistic (if not a bit pessimistic), and with no wish for pretenses; armed with these qualities, Elvan has fought to make connections, to create everlasting bonds, untouchable by distance and death. It's a trait so ingrained into him that he barely recognizes it. That's his drive, his core, the very way he operates on a daily basis. He wants to belong, not to a place or an ideal, but to people. To embrace and be embraced.
This need to be accepted has taken a hit, his world shaking and in shambles ever since his mother's - no - even before her death. His family, arguably the most important aspect of his heart, is broken. Is still broken. Everyone is scattered, they barely see each other anymore, and when they do, conversations are usually short and awkward. Esmeray left for Taika, Evar'la following soon after, Civa is usually off performing his duties, and Elders know where the fuck Nimat and Aylin are these days. They're all still... trying. Everyone in their own way. To move on with their lives. But in doing so, they all left him behind. And he knows it's not fair to think this way, but it hurts. It hurts.
He's alone, and it hurts.
Guys can you tell that I'm trying new things??? >:] I like it.
Also lowkey regretting not planning ahead and using this as an update for Elvan's app. Or a YCH like I had originally thought to do >>
