I've found that Russian reenactors seem to have something about them that makes them so believable. I look at photos of events in Russian and it seems so genuine, not just authentic but genuinely feeling as if you're looking at the faces of the past. Here in a America all our reenactors are middle aged fat guys, it kinda ruins the effect.

This is absolutely amazing that you re-enacted outside of St. Petersburg. This looks like it is out of a professional movie.

Wow, these are absolutely great! How did you get into doing these reenactments?

That's absolutely amazing, I too harvest an unhealthy fascination with all things WW2. I'll be watching...

Are those guns airsoft replicas, or real ones?

Crimped ammo? Can that wound or kill someone?

Nope, that's basically a round where you've taken the bullet out and "crimped" the round or plugged it with wax or cotton.
So you get the flash, the boom, the recoil (somewhat weaker, however) but no projectile leaving the muzzle (and no need for a blank firing stopper).

Real ones, firing crimped ammo.
