UPDATE Jan. 20th 2010I cleaned (but not too much, this is hand drawn/colored after all) and croped it a little...I realized that some unfinished bits on the upper right corner were visible lol Tsk, Tsk, Tsk...

This is my official "Thank You" piece for my 2,000 hits. I originally wanted to put little dialogue bubbles in there but disgarded the idea. It was gonna go like so :
Tifa : Okay, so what you're telling me is that YOU'RE someone's nobody?
Axel : Yup
Tifa : *thought bubble of Reno* Hmmm....
But the funny part is I actually HATE people that goes "ZOMG! Axel is Reno's nobody!!! Same hair!!! Same eyes!!! Same attitude!!! Marks under the eyes!!! ZOOOOMG!!!" Cuz he's not. Reno has absolutely no business with Kingdom Hearts what so ever. If you still don't understand the process of "Nobody Creations", I suggest you go ahead and play the game again because I don't feel like explaining it to you.
I will go ahead and admit that they do look extremely alike (probably why I liked Axel so much...) but that's because they have the same creator. Plain and simple. I just thought the idea for the drawing would be cute so I did it.
Done with Letraset markers and Prismacolor pencils.
Oh and...THANKS AGAIN FOR THE 2,000 HITS! I LOVE YOU GUYS! ^_^

Ahahahahaha! XD Oh irony! According to Nomura's idea when developing Axel, he wanted to create a character who had a reminiscent of Reno from the final fantasy series. Strangely enough, both are red heads, have green eyes, have a sexy personality, and are voiced by the same English voice actor: Quinton Flynn.

But yeah, I love both characters very much, they are parallel to each other!

I actually described in my comment my feelings about the none existing possibilities of Reno being Axel's nobody.

This makes me think of a story I read. Basically, Cloud charged at Axel thinking he was Reno. Cloud spent awhile convinced that Axel was Reno while Axel was getting annoyed with Cloud repeatedly asking "are you sure you're not...?"
The story is "Are You Sure You're Not…?" with an alternative title of "Another Case of Mistaken Identity"

And yes, Axel has nothing to do with Reno. While playing Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, I was trying to figure out Axel's real name and was like "Ale? Lae? Ela?!" Then Saix just comes out and says it: "Lea".

I did this with markers and wooden pencils. My old tools of trade (though I would never in a million years snob traditional art, I love it too much). I'm just trying to sharpen my digital skills lol

I always pencil and ink traditionally then add colour on the PC, I kinda like the balance, it's nice to feel you're still 'drawing' drawing if that makes sense

Cute pic. Actuall I don't think that Reno really is Axel's somebody, but I do like the theory. I also found out that Axel was actually based of off Reno intentially even though they were supposed to have a connection cause the creator liked Reno so much.
So, in a roound about way, Axel is Reno, even though he isn't.
I making any sense here or are you jst getting the urge to hit me?

lol. My throy that Reno is just Axel in discuise but I understand. lol. You just remove the X from Axel's name and you have his somebody. Axel without the X is not Reno.

And yeah I don't think Axel is Reno's nobody either. I think I read somewhere that Nomura couldn't put Reno in the game for some reason and had Axel look and act like him so people can get the same feeling.
It's kinda like how in KH 1 Nomura couldn't put Vincent into the game, so Cloud wears something that looks like Vincent's clothes.
